The 1999 Golden Globe Awards


Nominees were announced on Thursday, December 17, 1998, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, by Elisabeth Shue, Dennis Quaid, Christina Applegate and Noah Wyle.

The 56th Golden Globe Awards were presented on Sunday, January 24, 1999. The actual event was held at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton and NBC aired it on TV at 8pm. Presenters included Roberto Benigni, Jamie Lee Curtis, Anthony Edwards, Peter Fonda, Christine Lahti, Alfre Woodard, Calista Flockhart, John Travolta, Tom Selleck, Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, Brendan Fraser, Jeremy Irons, Ben Stiller, Sharon Stone, Michael J. Fox, Jane Seymour, Kim Basinger, Sean Connery, Peter Fonda, Tim Robbins, Rick Schroder, Julianna Margulies, Warren Beatty, Angelina Jolie, and Gloria Stuart.
